I started welding and fabricating, when I was 19 years old, in my best friends Philadelphia basement. He had purchased an Oxy-Acetylene cutting and welding set up, and not one of those small carry around ones either, he had gone all out with the big boy gas bottles. He showed me what it could do, and asked if I wanted to try it out, and an addiction was born. Though I convinced him that we should move everything to his backyard instead of his basement less we burn the place down. Ahhh…the Good O’le days!

Over 29 years I have practiced and learned with the help of many. Little by little progressing from cutting and welding with a gas torch to MIG, Pulse MIG, Fluxcore, and Stick welding. I have fabricated and welded everything from handrails, balconies, stairwells, prototypes, hi-rise buildings, elevator jacks, thermoforming machines, big rig welding repair, fifth wheel welding for JOST International (1.5 million welds a year), sculptures, and furniture. It has been an amazing journey, and I don’t see it being over anytime soon, especially now with my son of age to apprentice and work at my side.
